International Society for External Fixation Research

ISEF

During the last SICOT/SIROT annual meeting in Buenos Aires, Argentina 2006, the first business committee meeting of the new society for external fixation was held successfully to establish the new society - International Society of External Fixation (ISEF) to realize the dream of all surgeons working on the field of external fixation all over the world. 

ISEF has been created as a scientific non profit international organization, that will not be related or studying for a certain kind of external fixation or a commercial company sponsoring it, but will cooperate with all available or any trade company, committee or scientific organization for the benefits of its member.  ISEF will cooperate with ASAMI International , SICOT and any other scientific organization to realize all dreams of specialists in external fixation all over the world and will be the connecting ring also between doctors and companies to study the new ideas and devices of external fixation that designed by a doctor to help in manufacturing in the future.

Professor Aybar, became the first president of the new society, until the congress in Cairo in which the bylaws of the new society will be applied to elect the skeleton of the business committee and national delegate for every country.  ISEF will work to have a well develop and recognized society, scientific journal specialized in external fixation researches as well as increasing the knowledge and familiarity with different doctors from all over the world to the different kinds of external fixation that may be present and practiced in one country but not the other.

ISEF will work on establish many fellowships to transfer the experience from a hospital to another and from specialists and experts to young doctors. So, ISEF will act as the connecting ring among members all over the world.  ISEF will have a powerful web site that will help a lot their members seeking for scientific publication or previously published full text papers on external fixation to fulfill their scientific needs for free as members of the new society. ISEF will be directed to promote, support, publish and distribute the clinic, surgery and experimental studies related to the field that allow us to offer security and more quality to the life of the patient.
